How Services Work IEP ARD Advocacy
The “Why” Productive advocacy begins with a clear, data-driven understanding of your child’s educational history. We move past the stack of paperwork to identify the “why” behind current challenges.

Objective Data Review I conduct a thorough review of your child’s school records, including IEPs, evaluations, and progress reports. A review can also include private evaluations and ABA Clinic treatment plans.

The BCBA Lens My background as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst allows me to provide specialized reviews of FBAs and BIPs. I look at the behavioral data to determine if it aligns with the proposed supports and strategies.

The Benefit: Parents who feel “stuck,” have a new diagnosis, or are preparing for an upcoming annual ARD walk away with a Prioritized Action Plan and receive a 1:1 Strategy Session.

My goal is to translate complex documentation into a clear set of focus areas, supporting families in walking into their next meeting with a well-organized, data-backed perspective.

The Comprehensive Record Review can be a stand-alone service or the first step to tailored advocacy services.

What it is Professional guidance through the preparation, meeting, and follow-up phase of your ARD meeting.

Choose Your Support Structure

  • Collaborative Advocacy: I manage the strategic structure and communication so you can stay focused on your child.
  • Guided Partnership: I stand beside you to amplify your voice and provide real-time support as you lead
  • Empowered Preparation: Intensive “behind-the-scenes” coaching so you can walk into the meeting informed and ready to participate.

The Strategic Process: How we Prepare A successful meeting isn’t just about the time spent at the table; it’s about the  preparation that happens beforehand. Every IEP meeting cycle includes:

  • Pre-Meeting Strategy Session: We align on your top priorities and review the draft IEP/BIP to ensure our talking points are rooted in your child’s current data.

  • District Communication: I can facilitate professional, written communication with your school’s ARD Committee or Case Manager to ensure your concerns are on the formal agenda before we sit down.

  • Real-Time Collaborative Support: During the meeting, I provide a steady, professional presence to help navigate technical language, ask clarifying questions, and ensure parent input is considered throughout the decision making process.

  • Post-Meeting Review: Within 48 hours of the meeting, we touch base to review the final document, check for clerical accuracy, and discuss the “Next Steps” for implementation.

What it is An IEP is a living document, its success depends on how it is implemented in the classroom every day. This partnership provides consistent, professional review to monitor progress, and support families as questions/concerns arise.

Fidelity & Progress Monitoring I provide a regular review of your child’s progress reports and data collection. We look for trends to determine if goals and accommodations agreed upon in the ARD appear to be resulting in measurable growth.

Proactive Problem-Solving When hurdles arise (like a change in staff, a new behavior, or a dip in progress) we address them in real-time. This includes “quick-call” support and drafting professional correspondence to keep the school team informed and collaborative.

Informal Meeting Preparation Not every issue requires a full ARD. I help you prepare for teacher conferences so you can maintain a positive, data-driven dialogue with the school team year-round.

Best For Families who want long-term peace of mind and a professional “second set of eyes” to monitor the trajectory of their child’s educational services.

What it is A focused, 60-minute intensive session for a single, time-sensitive issue.

The Result Immediate input from an experienced professional and an “Action Checklist” for urgent situations.
